Suggestions for a father's day meal cake?

Hi all

I haven't baked anything in a while, but would like to make a cake for father's day. Now, I have a 13mo, so it needs to be quick and easy with few ingredients, as she is usually hanging off my leg or crying to be picked up. Also, no chocolate as it gives my mum a migraine!

Any suggestions ladies???

I would do a victoria sponge
go to your local sweetie shop and buy a mixture of penny sweets or dolly mixtures,
mae up a dribble of icing and let your DD decorate the top in anyway she fancies.

That is a fabulous idea - love it!

If you need a recipe -

200g Butter
200g Caster Sugar
200g s/r flour
1 tsp baking powder
4 eggs
2 tbsn milk

If you use soft butter, you can just mix the whole lot together then divide between two sandwich cake tins (mine are 7.5" diameter) and bake for 20/25 mins at 180 (160 fan).

Hope that helps.
