Treacle glazed salmon anyone?

This is a serving suggestion on the side of the black treacle jar I was using to make gingerbread this morning.

Anyone had the misfortune to experience this? I can't imagine anything more disgusting!

we do salmon teriyaki which is glazed with soy sauce, lime juice and maple syrup - bittersweet and smoky

There is a recipe in nigella express where the tamari and mirin seasoning make a sticky black sauce for salmon. It is delicious.
