I have defrosted a shepherds pie I froze last week. (Took mn advice and cooked in advance). How do I cook it. I am thinking low oven for about an hour then under grill to brown. Sorry having a complete blank moment.

In the oven for about an hour should be fine. It should brown it nicely as well.

if you have a skewer, you could stick it right to the centre of the dish, then pull it out and quickly feel it. If it is hot, then it is fully cooked through, if it still feels cold then it needs to be cooked for a bit longer, but perhaps on a lower heat to stop the top burning.

Good luck.
