help me. I need a dinner menu for tonight

dh has invited an old friend round for dinner who happens to be in the area

I haven't 'entertained' for ages due to illness and can only make Kids Teas

I want to make something really nice because he is a really old friend and one of those people who has people round a lot (ie Proper Grown Up Person)

but I can't afford to throw money at it ie no trips to deli for pricey cheese and olives

and it has to be quick

They come before the cream, slice and top the toffee mixture then add the cream!

I just went with my lovely Bill Granger book - I heart him

this for main tho shouldn't have used all the ricotta for 3 people as it was a bit too cheesy but still nice and mine looked better than the pic

but this oh my god it was nice. The pic on the link looks a bit sad - it looked and tasted just amazing

it is a complete recommendation from the cherry tart from all involved

I want some more NOW
