What can I make with dry cake?

Made a gluten free birthday cake for DS2 but put too much flour in! It tastes nice but is very dry. What can I make with it - don't want to throw it away. The only thing I can think of is bread and butter pudding!

Or use it, broken up, in a trifle?

French toast with slices of cake is a good dessert too.

Or a chocolate crumb cake?

Hot trifle? Spread it with jam and pour hot custard over.

TRIFLE - food of the Gods!

you could rescue it by putting it back in the tin and pouring a syrup over it - orange or lemon works well

slice & put jam on

How about that 1970's (?) classic ....Baked Alaska!

From what I remember it was a layer of sponge with jam on, vanilla icecream and then the meringue. Very sickly though
