gingerbread man recipie?

Having bought a menagerie of cookie cutters with dd today I realise I have no recipie for the promised biscuit baking tomorrow.. can anyone help?

Yes I have one - hang one while I find it - its yummy

2oz butter or marj
4oz soft dark brown sugar
4 tbsp golden syrup
8oz plain flour
0.5 tsp bicarb of soda
2 tsp ground ginger
0.5tsp cinnamon
1 egg

oven at 190/gas mk 5
melt butter,sugar and syrup together
add other ingredients and make a soft dough ( add more flour if too sticky)
roll out cut out people
bake for 10 mins !!

Silly question, if we are putting on smartie eyes do they go on before or after they've come out of the oven?

if you put them on before they'll probably just crack so stick them on after with a bit of glace icing{ remember to make some indents before you cook though or they'll keep falling off)
