I am doing leeks with our roast dinner but the kids don't like them. Please give me your different recipes for using them and let's see if the kids will try them. TIA.

cut into slices, steam, put in a dish, season, pour over a tub of cream and smother in grated cheese. Bake in the oven for 20 mins.

delicious, but my kids won't eat them

OMG, that sounds good.

Single cream?

we usually use double cream

my favourite leek recipe is similar - but use cheese sauce and wrap parboiled whole leek chunks in ham, then cover in sauce and pop in oven till top starts to colour

Mmmm, the kids need the extra calories don't they, to grow, I mean, would be a bad mummy to deny them, best use the double.

Oooo, bundle. Will definitely try that next time. Haven't much ham left and packed lunch this week.

Or try slicing/steaming them and then melting Boursin garlic and herb cheese over them.
