Pease Pudding

Decided to make pease pudding for the first time ever (had a bag of yellow split peas in the cupboard for ages). However one 500g bag has made LOADS of the stuff. Anyone know if it can be frozen?

Difficult to describe.I think it may be mainly a Northern thing. Dried yellow split peas soaked overnight then simmered with water whole carrot, onion boquet garni (mine is a veggie version) until it turns mushy. Usually served in ham sandwiches when cold.
