I know there are quite a few mums around this area - does anybody know a good chinese restaurant within reasonable driving distance?

We only moved here in July, and the ones we tried so far were vile!

Thanks!

there used to be a great one on lower addiscombe road, but it's been five years since i lived there so it might have gone

Essbee was just saying on another thread that she has just been out to a good one in Croydon - perhaps she'll come along soon and tell you where it is.

Beijing Cottage - opposite the French restaurant (can't remember the name) which is along the street in South Croydon where all the restaurants seem to be. There is a large one right next door to it, but I think Beijing is superior to it.

PP - is that the pink all-you-can-eat one? On the little road near the Swan and Sugar Loaf I think? If it is then

A, it's really really nice, the food is yum, and B, thanks, as we've been trying to remember what it was called, as we're thinking of suggesting it for our next 'team bonding session' at work

The pink one is Malaysian, I think - very nice. Again, cannot remember the name, though .

Beijing Cottage is very near to it. It's on the main road which the 'Swan and Sugar Loaf' road runs off from, IYSWIM.

How did that happen?

I'll just have to stop being lazy and drive down and have a look - or just go somewhere where we can remember the name

essbee, is that the new, large, glass-fronted one? Opposite the Blue Anchor?

The pink one is called Kelong and was lovely 20 years ago when I last went! But it has been there for ages so it must be doing something right.

I keep meaning to try that Wild Lemongrass place - why don't we have a meet there instead of Kenley?!
