A friend of mine mentioned that there was a recipie in Saturday or Sunday's Mail for a chocolate mousse made with Maltesers. She thinks it was called bubble wrap mousse! Unfortunately she threw hers away. I don't suppose anyone has a copy?!

Just for you, I will go trawling thru my recycling bin when I get home in 2 hours

Disclaimer: DH wanted the free CD with the paper. Am not a usual Mail reader

Bubble Wrap Mousse (serves 6-8)

150g milk chocolate
150g dark chocolate (about 50% cocoa solids)
6 medium organic eggs
1 tbsp smooth fresh orange juice
1 big bag Maltesers (about 175g)
Icing sugar for dusting (optional)

Break the chocolate up and gently melt both types together in a bowl set over a pan containing simmering water, then leave to cool to room temp.

Separate the eggs then beat the yolks and the orange juice into the chocolate.

Take a large clean bowl then whisk the egg whites until stiff using an electric whisk.
Fold the whites into the chocolate mix in three goes and transfer the lot into a serving dish (it shows a square sort of lasagne type dish in the photo, but I guess you can use what you like).

Arrange the Maltesers in rows on the surface -they should sink about half way down so the surface looks like bubble wrap.

Cover and chill the mousse for several hours or overnight and, if you wish, dust with icing sugar before serving.

Sounds yummy - can't find it in my weightwatchers books for some reason though

I have no disclaimer for buying the Mail but I am nice. Honest I am

TsarChasm you are an absolute angel! I will be off to Tesco first thing tomorrow morning to buy the ingrediants! I hope it tastes as yummy as it sounds but as you say OverMyDeadBody, "anything involving maltesers has got to be good"!
