EASY recipe for birthday cake

It's my Dh's birthday on wed and I would like to make him a victoria sponge type cake -jam and butter cream. I am amshamed to admit it, but I have no idea where to start. Please help!

6 oz of sf flour
2 eggs
6 0z butter
6 oz sugar
teaspoon of baking powder

Divid between 2 7 inch tins (lined and greased) Bung in oven for 20 mins - bobs your uncle!

Now how much butter do I add to icing sugar to make butter cream? Do I add anything else to it?

3 oz butter
6 oz icing sugar (sifted)
drop of flavour, if you like. Coffee, vanilla, squeeze of lemon, etc
About 1 teaspoon of warm water

That should sort it, for you!
