I made this for our brunch today and missed out the ground almonds as we didn't have any. IN the recpipe it says serve when just set but that did not happen. Thinking back I should have adjusted the milk to allow for the missing almonds. What we ended up with was a dish that looked yummy and top but underneath was a runny mess.

Has anyone else cooked this, what am I aiming for. Will the almonds sort it out?

ive got her receipe book and quite a few of the dishes havent turned out well. I havent tried that one tbh but ive been disappointed with the book as a whole.

TBH I tend to use her recipes as a rough guide or to get ideas from. The ones that I've followed to the letter haven't turned out that great.

Ground almonds act almost as flour does, so the recipe wouldn't have worked without it.
