Buying shopping online - Acardo?

Hello. I want to start doing my shopping online as I am getting fed up of rushing round with a screaming baby, and then forgetting what I went in for!

I always thought that Acardo was alot more expensive but saw an ad yesterday to say that it was tesco prices but waitrose quality?

I have used tesco and asda before, and wasnt impressed with eitehr, especially asda - all the food was really close to its used by (much closer than if I had shopped myself) and it was like they were giving me all the old crap!

Anyway, has anybody used acardo? Does it work out much more expensive? Is it worth it?

ocado

Yup - we've used Ocado, and it's very good. don't use it every week, just occasionally. Good use by dates. Great service. Don't know about the prices, though, haven't done a comparison.

they have recently started doing "tesco price match" signs on various items - suspect that they're probably not that much different from tesco on the basics - the problem comes when you start looking at the wide range of tasty treats. So you will be fine if you just use the "search" function to buy the items you needed, but in a world of trouble (as I often am) once you start browsing. Bit like real life Waitrose, I guess.

It is more expensive than Tesco and Sainsburys, especially for fruit and vege and the offers are never as good. However the quality and service are much, much better. I won't touch tesco with a bargepole after too many bad experiences with them but now I tend to do two Sainsbos and one Ocado a month.

I don't know if its the same all over the uk but we are in Yorkshire and the food comes from a distribution warehouse near Manchester not an actual shop , and so the sell by dates are always really good.
