Which is healthier and cheaper the supplements or real thing?

If it's the real thing how many portions a week?

Any advice on what I can feed them?

Any good quality BUT cheap supplements around as have 3 kids so can't afford the £30 a month I calculated I'd be spending if I got the one I saw in the health food shop?

Many thanks.

Didn't the children in the Durham study just recently all flunk their SATS or GCSEs or something? Another rec for Ben Goldacre column.

Organic milk is a good source too, apparently.

Good salmon recipe, for those who don't really like fish - as with my DS1 who actually enjoys this:

1 salmon fillet per person
marinate for half an hour in:

chopped ginger (a piece about 2 cms long)
chopped garlic (2-4 cloves, depending on how much you like garlic)
juice of a lemon or lime
black pepper
sprinkling of oregano
small dusting of chilli powder or chilli flakes (optional - depends if you like heat)
slug of sesame oil

Bake in a hot oven at around 200 for 20 mins or until cooked through.

slug of soy sauce
