I make a victoria sponge cake with 4 eggs, 4 oz of sugar and 4 oz of flour, it is fab and light and so easy to make... but it needs sugar... sorry.

but if you did have four ounces of sugar you whisk the eggs and sugar together with an electric whisk thing and on high, for at least 6 mins until they are light and fluffy, then fold in the flour and put in a cake tin in oven 170 degrees or so in my fan oven until it bounces back to the touch and is golden

(I don't bake but this is so easy I always want to make it)

you can cut it in half and fill with whatever you like, cream with strawberry jam is good

thansk - made a modifed version of rabbits - put too much cocoa powder in and not enough baking powder (was a bit slap dash yesterday) also added raisins and apricots, sunflower seeds and linseeds. Added some sugar and some balck treacle. Overall it was better than expected and I would attempt again - nice to cook with unsaturated oil and if I buy butter I slather it all over bread and eat it so best not to have it in my house!
