Any ideas for fresh coconut?

We've been given a coconut (!) and I have no idea what to do with it. Neither of us likes fresh coconut as it is, but we like things like macaroons and coconut milk in curries so wondered if there is anything we can cook with the fresh coconut. Any ideas?

a sweet treat is to cut the flesh into tiny bits, and then add lots of sugar and cook on a low heat till the sugar crystallises. you can add a spice like cinammon or allspice or ginger if you like.

spread out on a greased surface and cut into squares. leave to cool.

a children's treat from the caribbean.

I would cut it into chunks and stick it through a juicer if you've got one. Fresh coconut milk is......mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Put a bit of salt and sugar in it and spoon it over fresh sliced mango......

Or fry some mustard seeds, curry leaves and red chillies in oil for a few moments, add all to grated coconut flesh and stir in lime juice. Serve with curry.
