I've just been to the butchers to buy chicken thighs for dinner but was feeling uninspired as to what to do with them...don't have much time for preparation, so I bought a Coleman's Coq au Vin sauce mix. Will it be awful? Is is full of hideous hidden ingredients?

lol it won't kill you, but don't expact anything amazing, unless you like that whole packet sauce flavour! Have you read the ingredient list?Maybe it's not so bad?

southeastastra · 23/05/2008 16:35

no i use them all the time, cooking hold zero interest for me.

MummyDoIt · 23/05/2008 16:36

I have used the sausage casserole one a few times and it hasn't killed us! Quite tasty too.

I did read the ingredient list - there wasn't anything on there that struck me a being completely hideous ot maybe the fact that I didn't know what some of the things are should alert me!?

I have a cupboard full of them all different flavours all 3 or 4 of each of the flavours.

I bought these when I didnt have a clue what what is them or how to cook.

TBH there isnt a huge amount of crap in them , I've just looked and apart from citric acid and lactosse the rest is spices and garlic.

I still wouldnt use them though, but thats just me.

I now cook everything from scratch and havent used one for a couple of years. I dont know why I kept them actually I might give them to my sister, she uses them .

She eats Billy Bear too

No idea what Billy Bear is???

I usually cook everything from scratch but as we're going away tomorrow the cupboard was very bear....as this seemed an easier option as I stood in the butchers. Still have packing for 4 to do!!

I guess I'll find out.
