Branston pickle???

Does anyone have a recipe for Branston pickle as we have run out & there seems to be no substitute in the shops (not in Waitrose anyway). Dp is feeling deprived without any to put on his cheese sandwiches.

There was a thread about this recently, fire at the factory It can now be bought on ebay as so rare!!

Try Tesco's - they have own brand which tastes the same.

I'm in Domestic Goddess mode as am just about to start making marmalade so am perfectly happy to tackle pickle as well

......but if I run out of enthusiasm I'll try Tesco's - thanks for the tip!

I've got a recipe which tastes pretty authentic. Give me a ew minutes either to find it on my pc or to write it out.

It's back in Sainsbury's now.. well small jars anyway. Tried a pickle called Bartons for Christmas, but glad to have a jar of Branstons again. Am pregnant and adore Cheese and Branston sandwiches at the mo

You've got me worried now. I've just finished off my huge jar from Christmas, I do like a bit of corned beef with my Branston pickle sandwiches! Must phone Tesco's asap to check their supplies
