Does anyone have a recipe for Branston pickle as we have run out & there seems to be no substitute in the shops (not in Waitrose anyway). Dp is feeling deprived without any to put on his cheese sandwiches.

flashingnose · 17/01/2005 12:12

Try Tesco's - they have own brand which tastes the same.

I've got a recipe which tastes pretty authentic. Give me a ew minutes either to find it on my pc or to write it out.

Furball · 17/01/2005 12:29

I bought a jar on Friday at Sainsburys.

Cadbury · 17/01/2005 12:29

misdee · 17/01/2005 12:29

herts.

Furball · 17/01/2005 12:30

Don't Heinz do pickle as well?

Preggars · 17/01/2005 12:34

It's back in Sainsbury's now.. well small jars anyway. Tried a pickle called Bartons for Christmas, but glad to have a jar of Branstons again. Am pregnant and adore Cheese and Branston sandwiches at the mo

Lucycat · 17/01/2005 12:39

You've got me worried now. I've just finished off my huge jar from Christmas, I do like a bit of corned beef with my Branston pickle sandwiches! Must phone Tesco's asap to check their supplies

bettys · 17/01/2005 12:57

Thanks for that Cadbury - there's a recipe there that'll use up my extra Seville oranges too!

Anteater · 17/01/2005 13:17

I wonder if branston is inflammable..?

Lucycat · 17/01/2005 13:34

Why are you going to use it to light a barbie?

hazlinh · 18/01/2005 08:57
