Doing chicken breasts, potatoes, carrots and courgettes. Not entirely sure I have done it right but we will see in about 15 minutes.

If something takes 20 minutes and something else 10, do you put the 20 minute basket of food on, and then add the 10 minute one after 10 minutes, or just put them both on together with the shorter time one on top?

I have cooked the chicken for 5 min on its own and then added the veg baskets, hope that is right.

So will this be an early evening meal, or a very late lunch?. Sorry, can't help on timings. Hope it turns out well.

It is for the kids tea. They always eat as soon as it is cooked after getting in from school.

I'd cook the chicken fo r10 minutes and then bung in the veg, either on another layer on top or in the same tray if there is room.

Are you doing any kind of sauce with it to add flavour, or will you just serve it as is?

Ah, I see .

NotABanana · 20/05/2008 16:18

Never thought of sauce tbh. Any ideas though the kids will eat it as is.

I'm a sauce addict! Don't see it as a meal without sauce, but if your DS will be happy with it that's fine!

DS would probably drown it in ketchup, and I'd do that sam ewith sweet chillie sauce.

Or I'd do a nice cream and mushroom sauce, or mustard and plack pepper sauce or something, or just pour melted butter over the whole thing

it was so easy and the chicken is so tender. ds1 would have eaten it all if i hadn't have taken his meal off him and put it in the bin for deliberately disobeying me and feeding the cat

You threw his dinner away as a punishment!

you should have only pretended, and then scoffed the lot while pretending to do the washing up.

I am eating later with DH and it was only a small amount.
