Is Dragon Fruit just a homeopathic version of Kiwi fruit of have I missed something?

Bought one yesterday as it was reduced to 25p.

It tastes of nothing, but you get a faint wiff of kiwi (kiwi a long way off and much diluted)

I was given one once, but didn't know what to do with it

Who knows how to prepare, do we cook, eat raw or wot ??

I had one in Thailand, I think I liked it, I can't remember.

Many of these fruits don't travel well TBH.

They are delicious freshly picked, or bought from the local market and served chilled. But in their country of origin, not here.

I bought one last week because it was so mega cheap. It was very pretty, but tastes of literally nothing!

I don't usually buy air-freighted stuff, or stuff from that far away.

But once it is reduced I kind of think I shouldn't let the food miles go into landfill.

It is truely crap though imvho

Though I don't know how much of the pink outer to eat, or whether you just eat the white inside bit

I think it makes boring fruit salads look impressive but it tastes of nothing.

Agree that they are a bit tasteless. Never ate them much even when we lived in Vietnam!

It's like wet cotton wool.

Total waste of everything isn't it? Except it looks so amazing. DD loves them and will buy one with her pocketmoney every year. Nutter
