AitchTwoCiao · 12/05/2008 10:49

i like it in greek salad, or tuna nicoisey salad with boiled eggs.

Kewcumber · 12/05/2008 10:49

with provencal sauce and any carb accompaniment you choose.

Tuna hash - with mashed potato & cheese/tomatoes on top

Tuna mayo in a sandwich or on a baked potato

I think my mum did a lasagne thingie - but that's pasta

Kewcumber · 12/05/2008 10:50

tuna in a brown rice salad with boiled egg is also nice

AitchTwoCiao · 12/05/2008 10:51

althoug tbh a lot of tinned tuna tastes like crap imo. i like M&S's steaks in olive oil, or John West.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 12/05/2008 10:53

Tuna mayo with a glug of balsamic vinegar, salt and finely sliced cucumber on granary bread. Especially good with plain kettle chips. Thats todays lunch for me.

I cannot bear tinned tuna in anything hot, the texture is wrong.

bean and tuna salad
get couple of tins of beans (pinto, canellini etc) Drain and mix with half chopped onion and some lemon juice. Add tin of tuna (Ortiz brand or any Albacore (i.e. white) tuna is best) and stir. Just before stiring season and add chopped parsley

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 12/05/2008 10:56

Tuna melt (tuna mayo with grated cheese on top, in a baguette, grilled)

Tuna pizza with sweetcorn/olives etc

Baked potato with tuna mayo and sweetcorn, or chopped tomato?

I think there's a recipe on the recipe boards for tuna curry, too. Not sure I fancy that though.

witchandchips · 12/05/2008 10:56

Devil the secret of tinned tuna cooked is to add loads of white wine and cook off so that it become soft and less dry

TattooedGrrrl · 12/05/2008 11:07

tuna melt pittas for lunch then- no ordinary bread here.

tuna hash sounds good too- DS1 would love that too.

is tuna lasagne in a tomato sauce, or a cheese one?

Kewcumber · 12/05/2008 11:26
