I am surprised that these never get a mention on MN. I had my first one yesterday and am still buzzing.

I've never had one. Are they nice?

nkf · 11/05/2008 13:10

They are so sweet they practically give you neuralgia. Not really nice. Strange.

Oh why did you have to say Krispy Kreme..... (drools in socially unacceptable fashion)

I like the maple topped ones and the sprinkly ones (: mmmmmm

zippitippitoes · 11/05/2008 13:16

too sweet and sick making

AitchTwoCiao · 11/05/2008 13:16

i've never had one but i believe homer simpson is a fan. god, i love a sugary doughnut.

Heathcliffscathy · 11/05/2008 13:17

they are a just add water chemical abomination.

and I like donuts.

I do not get it at all.

WilfSell · 11/05/2008 13:18

doughnuts of any brand are good... I have done the KK thing at Selfridges. They rock.

Heathcliffscathy · 11/05/2008 13:18

for me, it has to be a dense, chewy raspberry jam donut.

belgo · 11/05/2008 13:19

I think I want one.

nkf · 11/05/2008 13:20

Yes, a normal sugary jam doughnut is nicer than the KK donut. Even the spelling is better.

market researchers for Waitrose and Selfridges and Tescos will, in 3 months, wonder what it was about the hot weather that forced a run on doughnuts at 2pm on Sunday 11th may...

zippitippitoes · 11/05/2008 13:21

yes ordinary doughnits much better

kk have a sort of horrid coating on

AitchTwoCiao · 11/05/2008 13:22

lol wilf.

i find the jam-filled ones tense-making in case i skoosh.

zippitippitoes · 11/05/2008 13:22

they were hyped a lot to start with when you couldnt buy them in tescos i think they are old hat now they are available

i found some in my fridge one day but never felt inclined to buy any myself

WilfSell · 11/05/2008 13:22

no but you're missing the point. Which is to take a box of 6/10/20 (god no...) home, and stuff your face with a variety of chemical additives all weekend and then feel very bad and fat on monday morning, kind of like you used to before you had children, but then it was a cocktail of drugs and alcohol.

With the KKs it also takes you until Wednesday to stop feeling hungover.

Heathcliffscathy · 11/05/2008 13:23

ooo no, you eat around the jam knowing that i is there waiting. to ooze into your mouth.

can you tell i haven't had a donut for about 3 years?

zippitippitoes · 11/05/2008 13:23

what means skoosh

WilfSell · 11/05/2008 13:23

Aitch, surely you have at your age learnt the jam-doughnut eating no jam solution? (AKA finding the little hole and starting there first)?

nkf · 11/05/2008 13:24

Are they chemically enhanced? Apparently when KK opens in a new American neighbourhood, there are queues round the block.

OP posts:
AitchTwoCiao · 11/05/2008 13:24

but if you find the hole first you get a mouthful of jam, blergh. skoosh, as in the jam will skoosh out.

nkf · 11/05/2008 13:27

Skoosh? Is that a word of your own invention?

OP posts:
AitchTwoCiao · 11/05/2008 13:44

gosh, you people are so culturally biased, it's like you invented the english language or something...

hana · 11/05/2008 13:45

has to be timbits

mmmmmm
