Biscuits for dummies?

I'm not a very good sweet cook - can do savoury but have never made cakes or cookies from scratch - only thing I can do is banana bread.

I want to make biscuits with DS who is 3 and a half - can anyone suggest an easy peasy basic recipe?

mmm shortbread

I think
175g plain flour
175g butter
75g sugar

pound it up for ages till it's a paster, roll it into a sausage then cut rounds. Stick on a greased tray and cook at 180 for about 12 mins

Chocolate chip cookies. Just search google. they are almost foolproof as taste good soft/hard/ burnt.

StealthPolarBear · 09/05/2008 16:41

oops sorry 250g flour
and my book says 30 mins at 160, sure mine don't take that long

I just thought when I saw the thread title, why would you use a biscuit as a dummy?

I'll get me coat ...

If you are feelng adventurous roll the outside of the sausage in some castor sugar before cutting...the possibilities are endless
