Slow cooker - QUICK question....

...just about to make curry in the slowcooker. Have to rush out soon to swimming lessons so just wondering if the onions and meat MUST be fried off before I add them. Or can I just chuck them in the slowcooker without frying off to save time (will be cooking for around 5-6 hours in the slowcooker). Thanks

It might lose a little colour and flavour but it will be ok.

It'll be OK, but it'll taste 'stewed'.

My family have never seemed to mind that though - it's just me who's fussy.
