i thouht that was quite expensive, it didnt seem to look much either when i went through it so ive cancelled it and will have to go to lidl/aldi.

I know what you mean I was going round Sainsbo's yesterday sounding like my gran - nearly three quid for our usual tub of margarine, same on cheese, ditto potatoes - it's very very scary....

YES OUR SOPPING BILL HAS GONE WAY UP LATLEY THERES FIVE TO FEED IN OUR HOUSE AND £60 WOULD BE VERY CHEAP FOR US AVERAGE WEEKLY SHOP IS £90 AND BELIEVE ME THERE IS NO LUXURY ITEMS IN WITH THAT!
I JUST REFUSE TO EAT CHEAP BREAD, SO WHEN WE BUY BREAD FOR THE WEEK ITS THE BEST PART OF A FIVER JUST ON THAT ALONE,TRY TO BE CAREFUL WITH OTHER ITEMS THO (VALUE LOO ROLL,KITCHEN TOWEL,FISH FINGERS,ETC)
MY DH SAYS I SPEND TOO MUCH BUT IM NOT GETTING ANYTHING DIFFERENT PRICES HAVE GONE THROUGH THE ROOF

Hi - another one here just did a £60 - odd shop at Tesco online and theres nowt there - just basics really. Will still have to top up. Am really shocked at the increases in butter, bread and milk. Cant afford to waste a single drop of milk these days.

reassuring to see its not just me, was wondering if i was buying things that are too expensive but like the other posters its just basics and no luxuries, and eggs are soooooo expensive now, i used to buy a pack of 12 and it would last us for teas and breakfasts at the weekends now im buying 6 and we are having them at the weekends only.

surely the government are going to have to do something, what about people who dont have a lot of income, people in debt, people on benefits?
how can they encourage everyone to eat healthily when a lot of the time its the health stuff that is the most expensive?

do you know what infuriates me is that everything is going up in price but were not getting paid anymore
just how do they(the government) expect to live with these price increases. my dh only got a 10p pay rise this year.what a joke
