I have some stewing steak with a best before date of today, and thought I'd do a curry but I've never done a beef curry before. Can anyone help me out?
or any other ideas for what to cook apart from a beef stew? I have plenty of onions, herbs, potatoes, carrots, celery.

Easy beef curry: Fry onion, beef together. Add small jar of Pataks curry paste. Add tin of tomatoes and other veg if you want it. Add splash of water. Cook for 30 mins.

Harder beef curry: Fry onion. Add spices (ground coriander, ground cumin, paprika, chilli powder, ground turmeric, garam masala). Add chopped garlic and ginger. Add beef, cook for 3-4 mins til browned. Add a couple of tins of tomatoes and handfuls of fresh spinach. Cook for 45 minutes til sauce is thickened. Add plain yoghurt at the end, stir, and serve.

Or do steak and kidney pie.
