Non Nestle condensed milk

Does it exist? I've tried the co-op and Sainsbury's but couldn't find any. I'm trying to make caramel shortcake which requires condensed milk for the caramel part.

Could you make the caramel using other ingredients? If so what?

Tesco online delivered me a type called 'Peak' condensed milk last week

It seemed identical to the Nestle stuff and cheaper. You CAN make it but it's tricky (at least for me
