I was thinking of a nice chocolate cake, need ideas for decorating it too!

Not sure he'll feel much like eating a cake as soon as he's finished. Are you planning on giving it to him straight away, or later on at home?

How about a gold medal shaped one?

lol, have visions of me gatecrashing the finish line and chasing him with a cake , I was thinking of giving it to him when we get home in the late afternoon.

I remember what he was like after he ran the Edinburgh marathon a few yrs ago, he could barely walk! And that was before his accident, so we;ll see how he gets on, but at least this time there'll be lots more support there from family.

Gold medal shaped sounds like a fab idea. There's a great cake 'stuff' shop in Milton Keynes where you can buy all sorts of things inc roll on icing and colours.

Good thinking my lovely Squonk

glad to see you're not planning on whipping off his tin foil cloak and shoving a cake in his face.

A big number 1 perhaps?

Or a pair of running shoes?

When I get round to doing it today, I'll take a pic and put it on my profile
