mindalina · 09/04/2008 18:16

Cilantro is just coriander apparently, and a I can't tell from this exactly what a tomatillo is, but it's green

JackieNo · 09/04/2008 18:17

Tomatillo

JackieNo · 09/04/2008 18:18

Don't think you can get (easily) tomatillos here. Ask Expat in Scotland.

Cilantro is coraiander leaf.

captainmummy · 09/04/2008 18:27

tomatillos are like tomatoes but are tarter. (I think) They are mexican/brazilian and used a lot in salsas.

lulumama · 09/04/2008 18:52

Votadina · 09/04/2008 18:53

near the olives

UnderRated · 09/04/2008 19:08

Tomatillos are like green tomatoes. It wouldn't be the same if you used normal red ones though. They taste totally different. I wouldn't know where to get them in the UK.

Capers are delicious.

UnderRated · 09/04/2008 19:09

What are you making, nappyaddict?

UnderRated · 09/04/2008 19:12

Do they sell tinned tomatillos with the Mexican stuff? A big supermarket might have some. With the Old El Paso type things.

nappyaddict · 09/04/2008 19:13

this with the capers.

was going to make this with the tomatillos.

Caper thing sounds delicious.

Enchiladas would be fine without the tomatillo sauce - you could use a normal salsa recipe instead. You have inpsired me to make fajitas next week
