If you're ordering a takeaway in the days/weeks before dc2 arrives, order an extra portion of fried rice/pilau rice, and a main course.

Soup? You can buy 'Pour and Store' plastic bags to freeze them in.

Bizarre - I was just about to ask the same question - I eat beef, lots of it, but every freezer recipe seems to be beef based. bolognese, chilli, lasagne, meatballs, stew - can't be good for the heart! I'm not expecting tho - josey - all the above works well, believe me we eat a lot of it. we could do with something healthier if anyone has ideas?

Fish Pie is good

Pasta sauces

What are your favourite meals? I bet they can be frozen.

Pizza bases are good too

most curries freeze well and hold on to their flavour and there are tons of healthy veggie ones out there. If you don't mind it going a bit stodgy, risotto freezes OK and you can always add extra cheese when you reheat! Butternut squash, tomato and spinach risotto is quite good.Macaroni cheese nice comfort food and you can add some cherry tomatoes when you reheat it.
We also bought up lots of BOGOF quiches which were a godsend.
