The most ridiculous meal i ever made tonight was...........................

scrambled egg
grilled spam
and toast!!

ok im majorly skint having split with dh and the tax credits still havent given me any money for 3 weeks and im trying to live off whats in my cupboard but flippin heck!!!!

DS looked at me tonight and said why didnt you just have ravioli on toast like me, yes why didnt i!!!!!

please tell me of your ridiculous meals you have made when you were skint to make me feel better

Mmmmm egg noodles with a big splodge of sweet chilli sauce is also very tasty.

I made chicken meatballs last week that tasted vile. DS ate them though.

Pasta and a jar of pesto goes a long way. Wee bit of grated cheese on the top.
I only use a few teaspoonfulls of pesto.

French toast with beans and egg is a favourite here.

As is pancakes. 200ml milk, 2 eggs, 20g butter, 130g plain flour and a pinch of salt. Mix milk, eggs and melted butter, add flour and let stand for 15 mins. Makes delicious crepes. You can fill them with ham/cheese or fruit/jam.
