Rice weevils

A few weeks ago I went to use the rice (it was Tesco's own) and it had tiny little bugs in it.

I bagged it and binned it to the outside bin, along with all other open packets in that cupboard, washed the cupboard down with a bleach solution. Replaced all the opened packets with new (pasta, flour etc) and put everything into sealed tight tupperware boxes.

Now my rice (Asda's own) has the horrible black beetles again.

I do not have manky cupboards! I think the bugs are in the packets already, maybe as eggs?

Has anyone else had this? What do I do?

I bought something like cous cous or bulgar wheat and found teeny TEENY things. Just thought something was moving! Took them back to sainsbury's who assured me they were harmless and refunded and gave me gift voucher too.
If you are sure it's freshly bought, I would take them back. Have noticed other creepies, but this was when I was sorting out cupboards and found things in flour and old old brown rice. hope haven't put anyone off their dinner!!

I've had this prob with bird food too. One day the cupboard where it is kept was full of beetles and eventually realised source was a pack of bird food that was not properly sealed. Could see them coming from the pack
