Tinned chickpeas?

Am making a lamb and chickpea rice dish.

Do I need to cook the tinned chickpeas first before adding them to to the dish?

The recipe says add the chickpeas at the end and stir and heat through.

no they are cooked already

No need to cook first. Just give them a good rinse and then chuck them in for the last 5 mins or so.
