Lemon Puffs - when did they change?

I bought some lemon puffs today, hadn't seen them in ages, and just noticed them in waitrose. BUT...they are not the same! They use to be golden-dark brown, with really puffy biscuit, almost like puff pastry, and the filling was really lemony. Now they are like to ordinary biscuits, sandwiched together with a bland, over-sweet, mildly lemon paste.

Oh no!!!!What can I do?

how weird, I was just scouring the biscuit shelves in Sainsbury's looking for Lemon Puffs ( for the first time in years ) and there were none to be found. I felt sad they'd been discontinued. I love lemon puffs.

oh I nearly bought some the other week (Sainsbury's) but didn't - glad now as it would have been very disappointing. They were all flaky weren't they ?

Are they not shiny anymore? I used to eat them by the pound at my Nana's.

they were glazed weren't they ?

Maidamess · 22/03/2008 15:45

I had a Garibaldi the other day, and am pleased to report they are still glazed.

And delicious.
