I know creme fraiche and smoked salmon is good. But what else is nice?

sour cream and lumpfish caviar (or proper caviar if you are rich)

mybabysinthegarden · 20/03/2008 15:26

caviar and a little chopped onion or hb egg
smoked mackerel and horseradish
aubergine 'caviare' (roasted and finely chopped)

Anything!

You currently have me drooling in remembrance of the bakon and cheese blinis I used ot have for lunch outside the language school in Moscow.

caramelised onions and sour cream is nice

champagnesupernova · 20/03/2008 15:33

cream cheese mixed with marmite and squeezed on with an icing bag/plastic bag with the corner cut off?

just had garlicky mushrooms on blinis in a Russian cafe in Krakow. Yummy

Lumpfish roe and sour cream is lovely. And it's worth looking for smoked salmon scraps at fish mongers and some supermarkets. It's cheap and perfect for things like this and pasta and sandwiches. Yum.
