Hello

My DS (16 months) has gone off his food. I know this can be the norm at this time, especially when teething comes into play. HOwever, I am looking for ideas on what to give him. He has turned his nose up at any prepared food like cottage pies and the like. He seems only interested in finger foods but my choices are limited (where I alternate between slices of ham or chicken, cheese, bread, fruit, yogurts, eggs) He won't go near veg in this way. Can anyone give other ideas on what may work and which is nutritious at the same time. Thanks

pitta bread triangles/toast with some sort of spread on them. My ds same age as yours loves any main meal he can eat himself eg potato shapes and chicken.

hummus/guacamole and stuff to dip in it
tofu and noodles
homemade pizza
veggie fritters?
sliced up bits of omelette
tortilla wraps with cheese and teeny bits of chopped up veg in them, dry fried and cut into triangles
smoothies [can hide veg in them]

Look at Aitches BLW website www.babyledweaning.com for recipes - loads of good finger foods.

thanks for the ideas!
I might give the hummous a go and will take a look at the website too to see. I have tried everything else on the list but it can be hit and miss.
I tried giving him soup today and grated carrot into it so that worked. Yay!
