IDIOT'S GUIDE NEEDED: How do you make a long plait/lattice out of puff pastry?????

Can any one tell me how you make a sort of lattice thingy out of puff pastry?

I'm making a fish pie...usually top it with mash, but thought I'd go a bit kerazeee and opt for pastry.

My MIL does it, but I don't want to have a tedious 30 min conversation bother her.

That actually wasn't what I was wanting to do...I was after more of a long plait. I've ad libbed, and I think it's going to come out OK.

Well I first thought 'long plait' then saw the words fish pie and assumed it would be too wet and run through the gaps IFYSWIM! so thought it must be the one I linked to
