I would have eaten it too, bet you're fine. But someone who's up on food & hygiene will come along and say NOOOOOOO

TheArmadillo · 18/03/2008 16:01

should be fine if it smells alright.

Bramshott · 18/03/2008 16:03

Ah you'll be fine! DD1 was eating a yoghurt last week and said "it's got paper in mummy" and proceeded to pull a large piece of green mould out of her mouth. Looked at packaging and they were 11 days out of date . Worst bit was that there was a friend and her mum there too!

bobsyouruncle · 18/03/2008 16:04

omg bramshott vomit

SquonkForgotHerEasterName · 18/03/2008 16:04

I'm up on food hygiene.

NNOOOOOOOO

actually, yep. You'll be fine.

Honestly.

If it had been off, it would have smelt off and tasted off and had green mouldy gungy stuff on top of it.

And it probably still would have been ok.

moondog · 18/03/2008 16:05

Will be fine

MaeWest · 18/03/2008 16:07

I go by smell, 1 day old quiche is fine.

The mouldy yogurt story on the other hand is making me feel distinclty queasy...

Bramshott · 18/03/2008 16:10

Sorry!!

She's fine though - honest!

I bet the friends mother was thanking her lucky stars that her DD had turned down my offer of a yoghurt a few minutes earlier!

sophierosie · 18/03/2008 16:27

Will be fine - I had out of date sausages yesterday and am still here - I normally buy from the butchers though which have no use by date!

Boobalina · 18/03/2008 17:20

ahhh.... and all is well in the world! It smelt fine and too be honest I was so hungry, it was the quickest thing to eat in the fridge. Have binned the rest!

Off now to feed 3 yr old beans on toast - they ARE in date (I think)
