DD is nearly 7 and usually eats at 5:00pm, if it goes much past then she's writing around on the floor saying she's dieing of starvation, etc.

I start a new jon on Monday and they told me before hand that it was a 5:00pm finish but today have decided its a 5:30pm finish. Great. So that means I won't be getting home till 6:00pm.

I'm stressing that dd isn't going to cope with having her tea so late. Please tell me she'll get used to it.

She'll get used to it!!! But should imagine she'd need a sandwich or something to keep her going.

She'll be fine. Our ds is rather younger (19mths)! but has started having dinner with us at 6 as I was getting fed up doing 2 sittings.

DD (nearly 6) eats with me and DH most nights, so she eats when DH gets home from work at 6:30pm. She has a snack of fruit or toast or similar straight after school.

If she has a play date round then they tend to eat a lot early at 5-5:30pm so they are sorted before the parents come to collect.

I normally aim to cook my sons dinner for 5pm, he's 4, but sometimes if we're running late he wont eat til maybe 6pm-7pm.

I normally give him a snack when he comes in from schoolso maybe thats why he can last later xx

4:00 snack at nursery...then comes home and demolishes plate of pasta at 5:30pm plus yoghurt.
Skinny as a rake, I don't know where she puts it.

I always give a snack of banana or yoghurt around 4pm if we won't make the 5:30 otherwise she has a real energy drop.

They only have small tummies and they seem to burn the food off so quickly!

she will... DS eats dinner anytime from 4:30 till 6pm ... it all depends on how big a lunch he has had and what afternoon snacks.
