Am doing my menu planning for next week and am in use up mode ahead of holiday. Have got steak in the freezer, have also got some thai curry spice (powdered) and coconut milk. Haven't cooked much thai and usually use chicken. Will it be ok with sliced steak? What else would you add (apart from onions and mushrooms).
thanks,

Steak sounds good. Onions and mushrooms, peppers if you have, i sometimes have sliced bamboo shoots in tins in the larder, they are authentic. Any veg really.

just found a pack of bamboo shoots in the fridge. Adds peppers to shopping list. Thanks captainmummy.

I always add an extra bit of lemon grass, ginger and fresh basil when i do thai curry... I cheat and use the squeezie kind as its quick no mess and lasts ages in the fridge.

as for veg, i agree with the peppers, and would say maybe some sugarsnap peas or mangetout for a bit of green.

Yes, absolutely fine.

No need for onions or mushrooms. I would fry some cinnamon, chopped coriander root, chopped ginger, chopped garlic and a couple of shallots with the curry powder, and then add in the coconut milk. And then I would add in some fish sauce at the end. Coriander leaves perhaps?
