Gammon - any tricks or ideas?

Hi there, I bought a piece of gammon wit the intention of cooking it and making ham and pea soup, which I had at a friend's house recently and was yummy.

So...you boil it first, right? Then stick it in the oven for a while at the end? What do you put on it? Honey / marmalade / spices / anything else?

I'd be very grateful for any ideas how to make it gorgeous! Thanks!

My pref would be for maple and mustard, but depends on what your particular tastes are.

this is the most gorgeous gammon recipe I've ever tasted. Not only dead easy but mostly all prepare ahead too, so you can look like the complete calm kitchen goddess thing.
