Was it a use by or a best before?
Does it smell ok?
Does it feel slimy or does it feel ok?

In all honesty, I probably wouldn't eat them, no. But chicken smells and goes slimy when it's off, so if it seems ok, it probably is.

Up to you of course if you want to risk it.

GreatAuntieWurly · 10/03/2008 18:27

no

SparklyGothKat · 10/03/2008 18:29

I would if they smelt fine, Chicken has a horrible smell whne off.

HuwEdwards · 10/03/2008 18:30

you see I don't pay too much attention to sell by dates and proba only a little more to use by dates....so on the premise, they look smell and feel ok, then yes.

fishie · 10/03/2008 18:30

if they smell ok and not slimy then yes. i tend to ignore use by dates though and go more by what the food is actually like, sometimes things go off before the date.

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 10/03/2008 18:37

surely chicken IS a use by date

princessosyth · 10/03/2008 18:38

No way, not chicken.

Scattybird · 10/03/2008 18:41

The thing is, you will not enjoy them you know as you will be wondering if you are going to get sick whilst chewing on them.

mustsleep · 10/03/2008 18:48

chicken does not neccessarily smell or look different when it's off, i wouldn;t eat it
