SIL wants to go out for a meal but we really cant afford to (just come back off holiday) so i've offered to do a meal here. There will be 6 adults and 4 children. BIL doesnt eat rice, pasta or any veg. Was thinking of picky stuff for a starter ie garlic bread, onion rings, chicken wings etc etc and have a yummy choc fudge cake recipe that I was thinking of for afters but need something for main course.

Ideas please.

How about something easy (and cheap) like shepherds pie or fish pie? Kids will normally eat that too. Or how about a roast chicken with as many trimmings as you feel you can do? A help-yourself table of roaties/yorkshires/veg.

(BIL doesn't eat pasta? Or rice? How boring.. I'd hide veg in the gravy)

What does she like?
