dd cooking tonight

We used to have dd cooking for us every saturday night. Would often turn out to be homemade pizza.

dd (8) has decided she would like to restart the tradition. She has flicked through my cookbooks and decided she is making clam and pasta soup with tinned clams (chosen for what I think of that) and italian olive bread.

Not even sure where I'll get tinned clams
Still sometimes a mummy has to be brave. We shall see what happens.

Well it sounds interesting (like you, a bit about the clams0. But good on her for trying something like that. Is she making the bread from scratch ? Will she do it all on her own, or will you help?

Its a flat bread so not too difficult. I suspect there will be a fair bit of help from us though!!
Couldnt find the clams - oh dear what a shame!!! So have got a seafood medley instead.

Sounds much better. Hope it's good.

It was utterly delicious We were rather late getting back so she couldn't do the bread. I did do the onion chopping for her as we were half starved!

Hmmm - snails? Sushi? Home made black pudding? The world is her clam oyster.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 09/03/2008 17:25

nooooo - don't suggest things like that!!!
I bet she disappoints and gives us 'pasta with pesto'
