What's your quickest, easiest meal for children?

I always end up serving gnocchi when I'm not eating with children. Tonight they had it with veg (frozen) and salmon fillet (microwaved). Took about 4 mins in total.

Would love some new really quick ideas for those days when you don't get in until 5 and need something speedy.

potato cakes are v. underrated. Poached egg on potato cake is yum (with cheery toms, natch )

Cook pasta.
Drain it then throw in loads of spinach leaves, a tub of ricotta and some sundried tomatoes.
Heat for a couple of minutes and season with loads of fresh paremesan.
I usually serve it with cherry tomatoes and bread.

Noodles with passata and cheese.

Guaranteed to be eaten and not moaned about.

"Also beans on toast. Sometimes with a poached egg on top if I'm feeling la-di-dah"

Maidamess - you made me LOL with that. Love it.

Trying to think what I make for dinner when I'm feeling la-di-dah

Oh yes beans on toast is always a good standby.

citroendrivingfootballmum my kids know I am short of time when I present them (at least once a week) with pasta and broc plus grated cheese.

Sometimes sling a couple of cherry toms on side to add lah-di-dah factor.

(I drive citroen and go tofootball traing too (theirs not mine)
Are you me?
