Egg free birthday cake

Can anyone recommend a good recipe for an egg free cake - it is my DS's first birthday this weekend and he has just been diagnosed as having an egg allergy...

Does he like fruit? You could try this:
2 cups of self raising flour, 1 cup of soft brown sugar, 1 cup of dried mixed fruit, 1 cup of milk and 1 teaspoon of mixed spice. Put in greased loaf tin in oven 180 degrees for about 50 mins to an hour.
I like to eat it with butter spread on it.
Someone else may have a better idea of a recipe for a more ?birthday-like cake? though.
