do you cook a meal for your kids and then have a seperate meal for yourself or yourself & your DH/P later on? Or do you eat with your kids?

We all eat the same food at dinner together every evening. The children all eat breakfast together (breakfast food of their choice within reason) on school days and possible at separate times on the weekend. We eat the same food for lunch together on weekends.

I don't really see why a 3yo can't eat at the same time as an 18yo. My 3yo eats at the same time as a couple of 34yos. We usually eat together at 6 ish. But on Mondays DS goes to Beavers so he and DD eat at about 5. I try to fit in a gym session on a Monday and DH is not normally home from work so we eat later - about 8 ish then. If the children have friends round they normally eat with their friends and DH and I eat later.

We all breakfast together apart from on the 3 days I work, when I leave early while DH is doing breakfast and grab some toast at work. We lunch together if we are at home.
