Can I prepare a pudding in advance, or should I reheat?

I'd like to make Nigella's pear and chocolate pudding tomorrow evening for friends, but can't make it at the last minute due to dd's bathtime and feed. It's a sponge pudding with tinned pears underneath. Just wondering if I could prepare it all in advance and cook right before we eat it, or whether it would be better to bake it hours before and then just reheat. Any ideas?

hmm

sponge mix doesn't take well to sitting around uncooked, and I don't think it reheats that well either...

Damn. Maybe DD will go to bed unbathed...
