I've bought a lamb shank with a bone at the side but got home and realised I need a kg of leg of lamb diced for my recipe. Will it be easy to chop up still? - I can't try it because I've left it in the fridge at work to take away with me after work tomorrow. the recipe is Nigella's lamb tagine in her new express book.

I'm panicking because I'm cooking away from home at a cottage so I might be limited in implements etc. thanks for your advice!

I would think, that as long as you have a sharp knife it will be easy enough...

I did that recipe the other week (with scrag end of neck because that's what we're into in our house ).
It was very decent and had the best niceness:effort ratio of anything I've made for a long time. Nigella should be very pleased with herself on that one IMO.
If you can't find a decent knife there's no reason you shouldn't just bung it all in and cook it whole - might take longer, that's all.
