Am poised to make a korma for three people, which suggests using the seeds from 25 green cardamoms - this seems like an awful lot to me - reassure me please! (I put 3 in my rice pudding last night which was delicious but just the right amount).

Sounds far too many imo.

I don't mind one or 2 cardamoms pods in rice but then I don't really like the taste of the seeds.

DO you mean seeds or pods btw?

milkmoustache · 21/02/2008 17:53

it says the seeds from 25 cardamom pods

hell, no that can't be right. It will be vile! ABout 2/3 will be fine. I prefer using them whole too, rather than crushing them, as it can be too overpowering.

Furball · 21/02/2008 17:54

maybe it's meant to be 2 to 5?

chopster · 21/02/2008 17:55

yeah that sounds more realistic.

Furball - that had crossed my mind too...
